The Mechanic II role is an onsite position based in Lorton, VA. This role exists to perform essential shop duties and routine preventative maintenance. The mechanic is responsible for trailer repairs and minor refrigeration power unit maintenance, ensuring the fleet remains operational and safe for distribution activities.

What you'll do

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on trailer refrigeration.
• Conduct simple and complex mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Diagnose, remove, repair, replace or rebuild clutches, water pumps, tires, tractor suspension, body repairs, rear differentials, drive lines, transmissions, wheel seals, and brake systems.
• Diagnose and tune up diesel engines.
• Perform front wheel and trailer axle alignments.
• Troubleshoot cooling systems.
• Conduct diagnostic tests.
• Cut or weld using cutting torch and welding machine.
• Maintain shop tools and complete all required paperwork.

Why this role
