General Ledger Accountant

The role provides general ledger and financial reporting support for assigned units, contributing to accurate close processes, grant accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis. It also helps operational teams resolve day-to-day accounting and reporting questions.

What you'll do

• Prepare monthly journal entries and support month-end and year-end close
• prepare and review financial statements and reports
• reconcile balance sheet accounts
• review accounts payable and cash receipts for general ledger coding
• coordinate grant revenue recognition, accruals, billing, and reporting
• analyze results and budget variances
• assist with budgeting and audit schedules
• support capital project tracking.
