The Cook works onsite in Monte Vista, CO. Pay is $17–$20 per hour. The cook joins the Dietary team at Rock Creek Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center to help provide quality meals and service to residents. The role prepares meals according to menus and dietary requirements, supports meal service, and helps keep kitchen operations safe and sanitary. Timely preparation and careful food handling contribute to residents’ meal service and the facility’s care environment.

What you'll do

• Prepare and cook meals according to established menus and dietary requirements
• complete food preparation and meal service
• assist with overseeing and directing Dietary Aides
• maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen
• follow food safety and sanitation regulations and facility procedures
• handle, store, and prepare food properly
• help ensure meals are prepared and served on time.
