Technical Services Manager

Job overview

The Technical Services Manager follows a hybrid work model in the Twin Cities area, with onsite work at a Trafera location and remote work as needed; the posting lists Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Compensation is $100,000–$120,000 per year. Trafera delivers IT products and integrated solutions to K–12, higher education, and state and local government customers. This hands-on leader manages internal IT services for Trafera employees and locations. The role sets standards and leads service delivery across end-user computing, identity and Microsoft 365, infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and compliance while developing the technical support team and improving service performance.

What you'll do

• Lead and develop the Technical Services team
• establish policies, processes, goals, and performance expectations
• manage day-to-day service delivery and complex escalations
• operate IT service management in FreshService and report service targets
• own end-user device standards and identity and Microsoft 365 services
• lead infrastructure, networking, cloud support, and backup and disaster recovery testing
• implement approved cybersecurity controls and coordinate remediation and audit evidence
• coach and train the team
• manage vendors, license renewals, and operating expenses
• partner across functions to resolve process inefficiencies
• maintain consistent SOPs and escalation processes.
