Loan Officer — SBA 504 and Small Business Lending

The Loan Officer role is hybrid/remote after the training period, with two days per week in the Columbus, OH office and additional travel throughout Ohio as needed. Compensation is $80,000–$85,000 per year. The client is a private nonprofit dedicated to helping Ohio small businesses secure low-cost, long-term financing for growth, commercial real estate, and equipment. The Loan Officer develops lending relationships, identifies and structures financing opportunities, and guides loan requests through credit underwriting. The role combines business development, financial analysis, and program compliance to help small businesses access capital and create economic opportunity.

What you'll do

• Develop and manage lending relationships
• market lending programs to business owners, lenders, and referral sources
• build relationships with financial institutions and community partners
• participate in community events, trainings, and business development
• meet business owners to understand financing needs
• initiate and structure SBA 504 loan opportunities
• ensure requests meet SBA requirements and policies
• collect financial and business information and complete credit analysis
• manage multiple opportunities through underwriting
• communicate with customers, partners, SBA, and internal teams
• provide training and educational programs for lenders and referral sources
• maintain ongoing partner and customer relationships.
