The Volunteer Services Intern role is onsite at the History Center in Saint Paul, MN, with compensation of $17.02 per hour. The Minnesota Historical Society preserves and shares history through its sites and museum work. The intern supports volunteer recruitment, onboarding, training, and recognition across MNHS sites, including rollout of a new volunteer management system. The role helps the Volunteer Services team prepare volunteers and staff for service and recruit for seasonal opportunities.

What you'll do

• Provide customer service and communication to volunteers and staff
• support setup and rollout of a volunteer management system and train staff and volunteers
• assist with recruitment and placement by posting opportunities, sending emails, tabling at community events, and holding information sessions
• create and implement in-person and online volunteer orientation
• participate in three in-person professional development seminars and a final presentation.
