The Cook role is onsite in Overland Park, KS, working Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Compensation is $19–$21 per hour, based on experience. Overland Park Respiratory & Rehab Center provides long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and higher-acuity clinical services. The cook prepares meals that support residents’ health, comfort, and satisfaction, following menus, diet orders, food safety standards, and facility requirements. The role coordinates with dietary and nursing colleagues to provide timely, resident-centered meals.

What you'll do

• Prepare meals according to menus, recipes, resident diet orders, portion guidelines, and facility policies
• assist with regular, modified, therapeutic, texture-modified, and special diets as directed
• serve meals on time and attractively
• follow food handling, sanitation, infection control, and safety procedures
• maintain a clean kitchen
• monitor food temperatures and storage
• receive, label, and rotate supplies
• communicate with dietary, dietitian, nursing, and facility staff
• report supply, equipment, safety, or meal concerns.
