The Direct Support Professional, Day Program, First Shift position is onsite in Saluda, SC, with pay of $14 per hour. It is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week role with hours ranging from 7:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Burton Center’s mission is to develop and discover the potential of adults with disabilities and special needs. The DSP provides person-centered support that promotes quality of life, independence, and community engagement for Day Program participants. The role combines coaching and training with direct assistance, individualized care, activities, and progress tracking.

What you'll do

• Implement training programs
• encourage independence and community engagement
• provide direct care with self-help skills and personal hygiene
• provide individualized assistance that may include toileting, medication administration, or feeding
• teach from a designated curriculum
• follow behavioral support plans
• participate in outings, hobbies, and activities
• track objectives and complete progress reports
• and complete required orientation and training.
