Telecommunications Engineer, VoIP and SIP

The Telecommunications Engineer, VoIP and SIP role is an onsite, full-time position in Winchester, VA, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET. Compensation is $150,000–$180,000 per year. The role supports mission-critical federal communications in a defense environment. The engineer supports gateway deployment, SIP interconnections, emergency call routing, troubleshooting, and deployment readiness. The work helps technical and program teams prepare communications systems for successful deployment.

What you'll do

• Support deployment and integration of Ribbon Federal Edge gateways
• engineer and troubleshoot SIP interconnections, signaling, and policy routing
• analyze E-911 call-flow and routing issues
• support connectivity across Federal Edge, DISA VISP, and Army PSAP environments
• perform deployment validation and readiness assessments
• identify risks and recommend mitigations
• track technical issues
• support gateway installation, configuration, and performance troubleshooting
• coordinate emergency-services routing and PSAP connectivity requirements.
