The State Registered Nursing Aide role is in person in Ashland, KY, with a Monday–Friday schedule and eight-hour shifts. Compensation is not specified. Community Hospice provides hospice care to patients in their homes. Working under a registered nurse’s direction, the aide provides personal care and routine nursing procedures guided by the interdisciplinary team care plan. The role monitors and documents patient status and reports changes or family concerns to the nursing team.

What you'll do

• Provide personal hygiene and basic care during home visits
• perform routine nursing procedures under registered nurse direction
• monitor and document vital signs
• report changes and family concerns
• document care and supply use
• follow universal precautions and patient privacy requirements
• and attend staff meetings and in-service programs. The role participates in on-call as necessary.
