Maintenance Technician – Chemical Plant, 2nd or 3rd Shift

The Maintenance Technician – Chemical Plant role is onsite in West Chicago, IL, with a choice of second shift (3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m.) or third shift (10:00 p.m.–6:30 a.m.). Compensation is $30–$39 per hour plus shift differential. The role supports safe, reliable production equipment at a chemical manufacturer. The technician helps keep production operating safely and efficiently by performing preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment and systems, and completing repairs and modifications. The work supports equipment reliability, reduced downtime, and compliance with safety and environmental requirements.

What you'll do

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance
• troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems
• maintain industrial mixers, blenders, packaging equipment, robotic systems, pumps, valves, and pressure vessels
• interpret schematics
• install equipment and modify machinery
• recommend reliability improvements
• order repair parts and coordinate repair priorities
• support OSHA, PSM, and environmental compliance.
