What you'll do

• Set up and operate a flat laser to machine ferrous and non-ferrous parts to specified dimensions
• secure parts using fixtures and other holding devices
• work from drawings, shop orders, and process specifications
• obtain first-piece inspection approval and perform subsequent spot checks
• operate a nearby machine
• work with programmers to test new programs and tooling
• troubleshoot setup and machining issues
• maintain tolerances
• clean under the cutting table
• and cross-train on other CNC machines as needed.
