What you'll do

• Prepare dies according to job priority and identify materials for make-ready
• review job orders and verify setup specifications and production materials
• obtain and inspect the correct approved die
• check for wear and mark replacement needs
• compare dies with other job materials
• use hand and small power tools to prepare dies, remove brackets and screws, load carts, and set shims
• prepare plates, strippers, and blankers for registration
• cross-train and perform other assigned responsibilities
• maintain a safe, functional area around the die-cutting machine.
