Diesel Mechanic

The Diesel Mechanic role is an onsite position based in Watertown, WI. Starting pay is $30+/hr based on experience, and this role supports the fleet maintenance department at GFL Environmental. This role exists to ensure the safety and reliability of the company's heavy-duty fleet. The mechanic performs routine maintenance, diagnoses complex hydraulic and electrical systems, and conducts safety inspections to keep vehicles operational.

What you'll do

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.
