What you'll do

• Review authorization queues, patient cases, and determination notices
• submit and track medication prior authorizations
• investigate rejected or denied requests and pursue resolution
• verify prescription and required monitoring information
• explain authorization processes to patients
• follow up with patients and pharmacies
• prepare appeals and medical-necessity letters
• coordinate with providers and clinical staff
• process authorizations for workers’ compensation, urgent care, and personal injury cases
• maintain complete documentation
• handle calls and route cases
• assist with eligible refill requests
• protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA.
