The Vehicle Upfitter role is onsite in East Syracuse, NY, with a Monday-to-Friday schedule from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Compensation is $21–$35 per hour. United Radio is Central New York’s premier upfitter of emergency, construction, and commercial vehicles. The technician installs, removes, diagnoses, and repairs vehicle equipment and electrical components. The work supports reliable, quality installations for customers and includes accurate work-order documentation and safe shop practices.

What you'll do

• Install and remove emergency vehicle equipment, including lights, radios, sirens, partitions, mounts, consoles, controllers, radar, and camera systems
• disassemble and reassemble vehicle panels
• mount components and route wiring
• splice or solder connections
• terminate equipment connections
• troubleshoot and replace electrical components
• document work orders
• maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
