Personal Care Aide

Job overview

The Personal Care Aide role is onsite in Saint Simons Island, GA, with assignments in Glynn and Camden Counties and surrounding areas. Pay is $14–$16 per hour. BrightStar Care provides in-home support for seniors and older adults who need assistance and companionship. The aide assists clients with personal care, mobility, and transfers, accompanies them to errands and appointments, and reports observed changes to the Director of Nursing. The work supports clients’ day-to-day needs and care plans in home and facility settings.

What you'll do

• Assist with bathing, dressing, ambulation, and transfers
• accompany clients to grocery stores, doctor appointments, and pharmacies
• assist with active and passive mobility work defined by the plan of care
• document observed changes and report them to the Director of Nursing.

Why this role

The posting requires a PCA certificate or willingness to obtain one, at least two years of caregiver experience, CPR certification, a negative TB test or chest X-ray, and a licensed driver’s license with an insured, reliable automobile. The role may require travel to surrounding areas.
