Patient and family education, advocacy, and ongoing clinical and emotional support contribute to care throughout the hospital stay.

What you'll do

• Assess oncology and medical-surgical patients
• develop and implement individualized care plans
• monitor progress and adjust interventions
• administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
• educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and medications
• advocate for patient safety
• coordinate with the interdisciplinary team
• document nursing care
• support patients and families during cancer care.
