Job overview

The Physician role is onsite in Mesa and Gilbert, AZ, with a schedule of three days per week. Compensation is $115–$130 per hour. MBI operates outpatient clinics focused on acute occupational injury care. The physician provides clinic and telemedicine care for occupational injuries, evaluates work capacity and return-to-work needs, and supports appropriate treatment and coordination. The role also provides clinical oversight to Advanced Practice Providers at the clinic when the Center Medical Director is unavailable.

What you'll do

• Provide healthcare in clinic and via telemedicine
• oversee Advanced Practice Providers at the clinic when the Center Medical Director is unavailable
• perform histories and physical exams and assess capacity for job functions
• provide opinions on accommodations, causality, and work-relatedness
• conduct fit-for-duty and return-to-work evaluations
• evaluate and manage occupational injuries and conditions
• prescribe medications and therapy, order and interpret radiographs, and refer for specialty care as appropriate
• communicate treatment plans and work capacity to employers
• participate in workers’ compensation legal processes when requested.

Why this role

Occupational injury care; no chronic pain management. MD/DO, unrestricted Arizona medical licensure, active DEA license, current BLS, and FMCSA certification for DOT exams within 90 days of hire are required.
