Electrical Discipline Lead — Rail and Transportation Infrastructure

The role supports the design and delivery of major rail and transportation infrastructure projects at PGH Wong Engineering, a firm providing engineering, architecture, construction management, and program/project management consulting. The lead provides technical direction and quality oversight for electrical design deliverables, coordinating across disciplines and with project stakeholders. This work helps project teams deliver coordinated infrastructure and facility designs, including power distribution, lighting, ventilation, and pump-station systems.

What you'll do

• Provide technical leadership for electrical engineering design on transportation infrastructure projects
• review electrical deliverables for accuracy, consistency, and interdisciplinary coordination
• oversee electrical drawings and specifications
• support facility lighting design and photometric analysis
• coordinate with stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams
• support medium- and low-voltage power distribution design, including transformers, variable frequency drives, motor control centers, and programmable logic controllers
• support ventilation and pump-station power and protection systems
• serve as the electrical interface with other disciplines
• lead and manage electrical subcontractors and design partners, monitoring performance, schedule, and scope.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, at least 15 years of electrical design experience, and a California Professional Engineer license in Electrical Engineering. Rail/transit and underground transportation project experience is required.
