What you'll do

• Explain office procedures and tests to patients
• collect and document patient histories in the electronic medical record
• perform measurements, visual acuity and eye-pressure testing, fundus photography, optical coherence tomography, fluorescein angiography, and B-scan ultrasonography. Scribe physician exams, assist with minor office procedures, sterilize instruments, maintain rooms and equipment, support patient flow and triage, and handle biohazard waste.
