Job overview

The Housing Advocate Team Lead role is an in-person position at the Pamela Atkinson Resource Center in South Salt Lake, UT. The swing shift is 3 p.m.–11:30 p.m., Saturday–Wednesday, with Thursday and Friday off; weekends are required. Starting pay is $17.85. The Road Home is a nonprofit social-services agency whose mission is to help people experiencing homelessness return to the community. The team lead provides trauma-informed guest support and operational leadership at the shelter. The role helps maintain a safe, welcoming environment, supports staff and shift operations, documents guest needs and incidents, and coordinates with emergency services and internal teams.

What you'll do

  • Provide trauma-informed guest service and explain shelter rules
  • help maintain clean, organized dormitories and common areas
  • answer phones and manage guest belongings
  • document incidents and guest stays and support bed assignments
  • assist the Shift Supervisor and assume lead responsibilities when needed, including emergencies
  • train and provide feedback to staff
  • coordinate with emergency services and departments
  • attend required training and safety activities
  • follow security, safety, and sanitation protocols.
