What you'll do

• Perform administrative and direct patient-care tasks in a clinical setting, including at checkout
• obtain outside laboratory and test results and send standing orders to designated labs
• process prior authorizations for provider-ordered tests
• contact insurers for appeals or verbal authorizations for urgent treatment
• coordinate patient-care needs with providers
• provide referrals for continuing care
• educate patients about medical processes and procedures.
