DCN Mechanical Designer

Job overview

The DCN Mechanical Designer role is hybrid in Houston, TX, with office attendance on Monday and Wednesday and every other Friday. Pay is $45–$63 per hour. The designer supports engineers and engineering management on customer requirements for hyperscale data center modules. The role creates and checks mechanical, piping, and structural models, drawings, and bills of materials. Its work helps ensure design deliverables meet customer requirements and engineering and quality standards, while supporting service teams, project stakeholders, and design coordination.

What you'll do

• Create and check drawings and bills of materials
• prepare material takeoffs and detailed BOMs
• produce mechanical, piping, and structural deliverables
• follow engineering and QA/QC standards
• coordinate design work and review vendor drawings
• provide model and report data to project, client, and third parties
• support lessons-learned updates
• use SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.

Why this role
