Patent Litigation Associate

The Patent Litigation Associate role follows a hybrid schedule, generally four days in the office and one day remote, in Irvine, California. Base compensation is $225,000–$265,000 per year, with performance bonus eligibility. The position joins a nationally recognized intellectual property and litigation platform. The associate handles substantive work across the patent litigation lifecycle, representing clients in complex infringement disputes. The role contributes legal and technical analysis, case strategy, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation while working directly with clients, inventors, experts, and litigation teams.

What you'll do

• Represent clients in patent infringement disputes
• draft pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, and claim construction materials
• conduct legal and technical research
• develop infringement, validity, enforceability, and damages strategies
• manage discovery, document review, and production
• take and participate in depositions
• handle expert discovery
• assist with Markman hearings and inter partes review proceedings
• work on dispositive motions, trial preparation, and appeals
• collaborate with clients, inventors, experts, and litigation teams.
