3D Print Technician/Operator — Manufacturing Support

Job overview

The 3D Print Technician/Operator is an onsite role in Newton, NC, paying $35–$36 per hour. The position supports cleanroom optical ribbon and fiber optic cable manufacturing operations. The technician creates and tests 3D-printed mechanical components while helping troubleshoot equipment and improve manufacturing processes. The work contributes to stable production, equipment reliability, continuous improvement, and production scale-up, including installation and plant expansion efforts.

What you'll do

• Assist with ribbon-line setup and startup
• design and implement mechanical solutions and process changes
• analyze and resolve mechanical and process issues
• identify spare parts and support storeroom records
• identify equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety improvements
• create, print, and test models using Autodesk Inventor
• collaborate on equipment development and integration
• support preventive maintenance, equipment installation, process transfers, and plant expansion.
