The Substitute Bus Driver role is onsite in Big Rapids, MI. The posting states $22 per hour, as needed. Crossroads Charter Academy serves Big Rapids and surrounding communities in Mecosta and Osceola counties. The driver fills in for regular drivers on morning and/or afternoon routes, transporting students safely and maintaining order. Routes may include five to seven stops, trips to the Career Center, or athletic events; the role also includes bus inspections, safety procedures, and reporting incidents or mechanical issues.

What you'll do

• Transport students safely
• maintain order
• follow traffic laws
• inspect the bus before and after routes
• maintain a clean bus
• report accidents, incidents, and mechanical issues
• attend required safety meetings
• and assist students on and off the bus as needed.

Why this role
