CNC Lathe Machinist

The CNC Lathe Machinist role is onsite in Santa Clara, CA. Compensation is $23–$38 per hour; second shift receives an additional 10% differential. Calmax Technology manufactures precision-machined parts and provides turnkey assembly for customers in technology, automotive, aerospace, semiconductor, and medical industries. The machinist sets up and operates lathe equipment to produce parts to customer drawings and specifications. The role supports production quality by interpreting programs and plans, maintaining close tolerances, and servicing machining tools and equipment.

What you'll do

• Review work orders, drawings, engineering plans, materials, and machining parameters
• interpret CNC programs and maintain tolerances within +/- .0001
• set up production equipment for junior machinists and conduct tests and calibrations
• set machining controls for speed, feed, coolant, and cuts
• enter or edit machine-control commands
• install, maintain, repair, rebuild, and operate lathe tools.

Why this role
