Behavioral Health Technician — IBHS

The Behavioral Health Technician — IBHS role is onsite in Philadelphia, PA, with weekday after-school hours generally from 4 p.m.–8 p.m.; summer camp hours are traditionally 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Compensation is not specified. Northern Children’s Services supports children and youth and works to stabilize families and strengthen communities. The technician provides behavioral-health interventions to children and adolescents in the Wellness & Resiliency Program, helping stabilize clients, build age-appropriate self-management skills, and support families and other responsible adults. The work contributes to treatment goals and may help prevent more restrictive services or out-of-home placement.

What you'll do

• Maintain contact with treatment-team members
• advocate for clients’ needs
• complete progress notes and required documentation
• plan and implement treatment-plan interventions
• monitor service needs and report updates to clinicians
• provide social-growth interventions
• attend interagency meetings, trainings, and required evaluations.
