The Preschool Bus Driver – Class B Commercial Driver’s License role is onsite in Rowlett, TX. Starting pay is $18–$19 per hour, with split hours from 6:30–8:30 a.m. and 2:30–4:30 p.m. The Pillars Christian Learning Center provides faith-based early childhood education focused on children’s developmental, emotional, and academic milestones. The driver transports students and authorized personnel on assigned routes while supporting safe, orderly travel. The role includes vehicle inspections and upkeep, student supervision and safety instruction, communication with families and teachers, and participation in special events and field trips.

What you'll do

• Operate a school bus on assigned routes and follow schedules
• inspect the bus before and after operation and report defects
• keep the bus clean and fueled
• supervise students boarding, leaving, and crossing the street
• communicate with teachers and parents about student behavior
• maintain discipline and report issues
• instruct students on safe riding
• follow traffic and school-bus safety rules
• check emergency equipment
• report accidents, injuries, damage, failures, and route hazards
• participate in special events and field trips.
