Maintenance Technician II — Second Shift

The Maintenance Technician II works onsite in Orwell, Ohio, on an eight-hour Monday–Friday second shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Pay is $25.93–$38.33 per hour, commensurate with experience, with a possible increase after a 90-day performance evaluation. Quanex is a manufacturing company serving fenestration, cabinetry, solar, refrigeration, and outdoor product markets. The technician maintains equipment and supports continuous improvement to ensure robust operations. The role diagnoses and repairs equipment issues, coordinates with maintenance personnel and line workers, and contributes to equipment updates and sustainable solutions.

What you'll do

• Perform general equipment maintenance
• assist with new equipment implementation and improvements
• complete repairs and follow through using internal customer feedback
• coordinate with maintenance personnel and line workers to solve equipment issues
• diagnose failed components and safely work on voltages up to 480V
• use a digital voltmeter
• coordinate equipment updates and operational issues with off-shift personnel
• attend outside training and seminars. PLC, drives, HMI, and other electrical component experience is preferred.
