What you'll do

• Manage authorizations for upcoming surgical cases
• verify patient demographics, insurance eligibility, and benefits
• complete surgical cost analysis forms and patient cost estimates
• document authorization progress and update records
• communicate with physicians, patients, coworkers, hospitals, and surgical centers
• train staff on processes
• assist surgery schedulers with urgent authorizations
• maintain confidentiality under HIPAA.
