Buyer — Aerospace Manufacturing

Job overview

The Buyer role is onsite in Overland Park, KS, during normal Monday–Friday business hours. Compensation is not specified. Enjet Aero manufactures and fabricates jet-engine parts, components, and assemblies for commercial, defense, and general aviation customers. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Buyer secures approved materials and services in support of production requirements. The role manages purchasing terms, supplier coordination, purchase orders, and delivery performance to help meet customer schedules cost-effectively.

What you'll do

• Negotiate purchase price, delivery, lead times, and terms
• review and execute MRP-generated requisitions and internal purchase requests
• support inventory turns through supplier programs
• collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Operations on material and service needs
• place and maintain purchase orders and contract documents
• update ERP records and customer flow-downs
• communicate technical data and scope to suppliers
• manage supplier compliance with government procurement requirements
• resolve invoice discrepancies with Accounting
• recommend process improvements.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and five years of Buyer experience in manufacturing. Aerospace experience is preferred; APICS CPIM or Purchasing CPM certification is preferred.
