Press Operator, First Shift

The Press Operator role is onsite in Romeoville, IL, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Compensation is $24–$30 per hour. The role supports SATO America’s manufacturing team and its focus on quality, innovation, and customer value. The operator keeps production running safely and efficiently by setting up and operating flexographic presses, monitoring product quality, and meeting production goals. The role also supports equipment upkeep, accurate documentation, and continuous improvement.

What you'll do

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot flexographic printing presses and auxiliary equipment
• change plates, cylinders, and dies as required
• perform basic maintenance, lubrication, and minor parts replacement
• measure, check, and test product quality
• meet production, scrap, yield, and quality goals
• maintain an organized work area using 5S principles
• report equipment issues
• complete production documentation
• cross-train on multiple press lines
• support continuous improvement and waste reduction
• follow safety procedures.
