What you'll do

• Design, implement, and support IBM i platforms
• maintain operating system upgrades and PTF installations
• manage IBM i backups using BRMS, FSFC, and VTL
• configure tape library architecture and Full System Flash Copy
• support MIMIX or similar replication
• use Help Systems tools or similar
• perform tuning and capacity planning
• provide tier-three support for operations, applications, and customer systems
• support object implementations and security practices
• support 24/7 on-call
• perform basic hardware maintenance
• configure partitions through HMC and Virtual HMC
• coordinate with vendors and support NOC staff.
