Coaching Foundations Program — Personal Trainer Coach

The Coaching Foundations Program is a hybrid learning experience with required onsite coursework at an Equinox location in Washington, DC. Compensation is $17.95 per hour, depending on club location and applicable state and local wages. The program develops aspiring coaches for Equinox’s personal training team. Over 10 working days, participants complete coursework, workshops, assessments, and study toward the ISSA Certified Personal Trainer credential. Successful completion and passing the exam leads to a provisional Coach role and promotion to a full-time Coach position; CPR/AED certification is completed during the program if needed.

What you'll do

• Complete coursework, workshops, assessments, and study requirements within the two-week program
• demonstrate understanding of ISSA and Equinox Coaching Foundations content
• apply exercise science, coaching communication, program design, and client assessment principles
• uphold brand standards and member experience expectations
• continue professional development during transition to the Coach role.
