The Historical Architect opportunity is based in Denver, CO, with occasional overnight travel and air travel as needed to reach four MAPR locations. Pay is $50 per hour, and the position is funded for up to 100 total hours. National Experienced Workforce Solutions connects experienced workers with the National Park Service’s Experienced Services Program. The architect supports historic preservation by inspecting structures, assessing conditions and likely causes of failure, recommending compliant treatments, and reviewing reports and plans. This work helps address technical assistance requests and preserve historic properties.

What you'll do

• Inspect MAPR structures and buildings to assess physical condition and likely causes of failure
• recommend treatments consistent with the Secretary of the Interior’s Treatment of Historic Properties
• support project compliance needs
• review and comment on architectural reports and plans related to historic properties.
