Shiloh House’s Day Treatment Program serves students with social, emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs through an educational and behavioral health program. The teacher provides instruction in a structured, trauma-informed setting and works with clinicians, behavior specialists, paraprofessionals, families, and community partners. The role develops individualized learning experiences and supports students’ academic and behavioral goals through instruction, IEP work, progress monitoring, and classroom collaboration.
What you'll do
- Provide direct instruction throughout the school year
- develop and implement individualized lesson plans aligned with approved curriculum standards
- create a safe, structured classroom
- support students with emotional, behavioral, developmental, and educational challenges
- collaborate with clinicians, families, school districts, and treatment team members
- develop, implement, and monitor IEPs
- track academic progress and maintain documentation
- supervise classroom support staff
- use trauma-informed and behaviorally focused interventions
- participate in professional development and required training
- assist with student supervision during assigned activities and transitions.
