Saw Operator

Job overview

The Saw Operator role is onsite in Holly, MI. Pay is $17–$18 per hour. King Steel’s production operation cuts steel bar to specification and prepares finished parts for shipment. The operator runs and maintains production saws, handles material, inspects parts, and prepares completed products for shipment. The role contributes to production quality by following cutting specifications and recording inspection results.

What you'll do

• Load and unload steel bundles with overhead cranes
• load material onto the saw table
• move containers with a forklift
• enter material into Plex
• set saw cutting parameters
• perform routine saw maintenance and report problems
• inspect parts for length, diameter, and finish
• record inspection results and chart them on the SPC chart
• package and process containers
• keep the saw area clean and organized.
