The Early Learning Floater Teacher role is full-time and onsite in Wheaton, IL. Compensation is $40,000–$45,000 annually as an average starting salary range. Metropolitan Family Services’ DuPage Early Learning team supports children and families through early learning and family services. The teacher supports classroom planning and activities, maintains a safe and caring environment, documents children’s school-readiness skills, and communicates with families. The role also supports developmental screening, curriculum implementation, home visits, and coordination with teaching staff and family support workers.

What you'll do

• Support planning and implementation of program activities
• facilitate children’s activities and maintain appropriate guidance and ratios
• attend required training and pursue professional development
• document school-readiness skills
• communicate with families
• conduct education home visits with teaching staff
• maintain teacher and child files
• follow transportation safety procedures
• support screenings, curriculum and individualized accommodations
• supervise children in classrooms, transitions, transportation, and playground settings
• assist with recruitment and program self-assessment.
