Veterinary Sonographer

The Veterinary Sonographer role is based onsite in Shrewsbury, MA, supporting the home hospital and regional hospitals and training facilities. Pay is $30–$50 per hour. Veterinary Emergency Group’s mission is to help people and their pets when they need emergency care. The sonographer performs ultrasound studies and supports training for doctors and nursing teams. The role contributes to timely imaging support for emergency cases and helps develop ultrasound skills and training programs across the hospitals.

What you'll do

• Perform ultrasound studies and facilitate training at the home and regional hospitals
• maintain relationships with teleconsultation radiologists
• track team skills using the ultrasound certificate checklist
• evaluate and improve training programs
• coordinate with medical directors, nursing trainers, and hospital managers
• coordinate floor shifts and training responsibilities
• may assist with curriculum materials and educational demonstrations.
