Water Collector

Job overview

The Water Collector role is onsite in Columbus, OH, supporting VA facilities in the Dayton and Columbus areas. Compensation is $20–$25 per hour. Hyperion Biotechnology provides services to federal government customers and this role supports water safety for Veterans. The collector gathers water samples and records field measurements according to standard operating procedures and contract specifications. Accurate packaging and documentation help ensure samples reach the laboratory and support required testing and follow-up.

What you'll do

• Collect water samples from sinks, showers, drinking fountains, ice machines, and cooling towers
• record pH, temperature, and biocide measurements
• package samples for shipment to a laboratory
• accommodate possible follow-up retesting visits
• submit shipping confirmations and field documentation.

Why this role

The collection schedule is quarterly for two days, approximately 16 hours total; follow-up visits may be needed. Availability is required Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with flexibility for last-minute events or cancellations. A reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, clean driving record, smartphone, and U.S. citizenship are required. Laboratory experience is preferred.
