Job overview
The Senior Diesel Mechanic role is an onsite position based in Monroe, NC. Compensation for this role is between $35 and $40 per hour, and this position supports the fleet maintenance department of US Foods, Inc. The role exists to provide a safe and reliable fleet by performing preventative maintenance and proper repairs on all fleet equipment. The mechanic ensures that all vehicles meet DOT standards and are ready for daily operations.
What you'll do
- Independently troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete all required repairs on diesel equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.
- Receive road calls, assign third party vendor, and work with business partners on plan of action.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Utilize fleet maintenance software system tablet to fully document equipment repair and parts used.
