Fire Protection Engineer

What you'll do

• Establish design criteria for fire alarm, suppression, and life-safety systems
• review existing systems and recommend improvements
• prepare client reports
• meet with clients and jurisdictional authorities
• attend appeals and hearings as required
• model fire, smoke, and water distribution variables
• gather project information and serve as Engineer of Record on assigned projects
• and maintain knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
