The Police Cadet role is onsite in Auburn Hills, MI, with pay of $17 per hour. This part-time, non-sworn uniform position is in the Auburn Hills Police Department’s Support Services Division. The department’s mission is to improve community safety and quality of life while protecting constitutional and basic human rights. The cadet program introduces criminal justice students to police work through training in community and problem-oriented policing, placement where department services are needed, and support for continuous front-desk coverage.

What you'll do

• Participate in the cadet program’s police-work exposure and training
• support department needs within the assigned placement
• contribute to maintaining 24/7 front-desk service
• interact with the public and communicate verbally and in writing
• handle stressful situations.
