Family Support Specialist II

Job overview

The Family Support Specialist II role is onsite in Pittsburgh, PA, with travel up to 25% and occasional evening and weekend availability. Compensation is $57,000–$60,000 per year. The role provides case management, referrals, and coordinated support to help families pursue economic self-sufficiency and improve residents’ access to services and opportunities. It also supports financial literacy, capital access, and the development of the organization’s community development financial institution client base.

What you'll do

• Conduct resident intake and assessments, enroll residents in the family support program, and visit locations to gather information
• collaborate on development plans, connect residents with social services, and advocate for service delivery
• protect privacy and track resident data in the LEARN system
• attend community and program meetings
• perform administrative tasks
• provide financial management and goal-setting consultation, host financial literacy and capital-access seminars, and support development of the USI CDFI client base.
