Chef and Cook, Early Childhood Education Center

Job overview

The Chef and Cook role is onsite in Round Rock, TX; compensation is $15–$18 per hour. The position prepares meals and snacks for children at The Learning Experience early childhood education center, supporting positive mealtimes and the center's nutrition and food-safety requirements.

What you'll do

• Prepare nutritious, age-appropriate meals and snacks according to approved menus and nutrition guidelines
• estimate quantities based on attendance
• manage food inventory, supplies, and ordering
• monitor food quality, expiration dates, and storage
• maintain meal and snack records, including CACFP records when applicable
• follow allergy and dietary accommodations
• and clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and work areas. The role also communicates with center leadership, teachers, and families and supports center events and special meal needs when appropriate.
