Perianesthesia Nurse — Pre-Op, PACU, and Stage 2

What you'll do

• Assess patients before surgery and in recovery
• provide preoperative instruction and explain patient rights and procedures
• complete preoperative testing and report abnormal values
• document care
• monitor postoperative patients and report complications
• develop care plans
• review discharge instructions and assess readiness for discharge.
