Quality Technician

Job overview

The Quality Technician role is onsite near Crystal Lake, IL, with a stated pay range of $20–$24 per hour. Sterling Engineering is recruiting for a direct-hire position supporting product quality and manufacturing operations. The technician performs inspections, first article inspections, documentation, and process audits to identify quality risks and support ISO 9001 requirements. The role works with manufacturing teams on corrective and preventive actions and continuous improvement.

What you'll do

• Inspect products and raw materials
• complete first article inspections and customer documentation
• document nonconforming materials and assist with MRB activities
• complete certificates of conformance and quality records
• use measurement tools and SPC methods
• support CAPA and internal ISO 9001 audits
• update work instructions and procedures
• collect and report production and quality metrics.
