The Registered Nurse (RN) — Dialysis role is onsite at the Miami VA Medical Center in Miami, FL. The pay range is $55–$58 per hour. The assignment runs October 28, 2026 through May 11, 2027, with 10-hour day shifts from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; weekends and holidays are required as scheduled. The role supports dialysis care for Veterans. The nurse provides dialysis treatment and ongoing assessment for patients with kidney disease, applying nursing standards and coordinating care with interdisciplinary teams. Patient education, accurate documentation, and safe transitions contribute to continuity and quality of care.

What you'll do

• Provide comprehensive dialysis nursing care to patients with ESRD, AKI, and late-stage CKD
• provide hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis in acute and/or chronic settings
• perform treatments using fistulas, grafts, and venous catheters
• assess and monitor patients during treatment
• apply the nursing process and unit policies
• document clinical care and treatments
• coordinate care and transitions with interdisciplinary teams
• provide patient education and advocacy
• participate in orientation, competencies, and quality-improvement activities
• provide clinical guidance and education to other providers as appropriate.

Why this role

Requires at least three years of hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis nursing experience, an unrestricted U.S. RN license, AHA BLS/CPR and ACLS, and nursing degrees from ACEN- or CCNE-accredited programs at graduation.
